My name is Jen and I love being outside and I adore Michigan. I’m an avid hiker, backpacker, cyclist, bike packer, skier, snowboarder, rock climber, and nerd. I’ve worked in the outdoor scene in Michigan and Canada as an outfitter, a canoe guide, and manager at a local climbing gym. I’ve also played with the same Dungeon and Dragons group for five years.

The Adventure Map started as a passion project when many of my customers at the outdoor shops I’ve worked at over the years asked for advice on where they should go on their next adventure and I would rattle off so many places and resources they’d have to take notes. As for the personalized outfitting, the post COVID world had many local and national outdoor shops cease their one on one outfitting experiences and found it difficult to meet more in depth customer needs while trying to balance a positive customer experiences for all.
